Renovations
The first step in doing a design for a renovation project is to come up with plans for your house as it now exists.
If you have existing plans this will save time and money. If not, we suggest that you contact City Hall to see if they have plans on record.
If this fails the only option is then to measure and draw your existing house.
Once this is done we follow the same process as a normal custom home design with sketches, revisions and working drawings.

Stock Plans
The main focus of Rusbourne Design Ltd has recently been
chanelled from a Stock Plan service to more of a Custom Design service.
There are several reasons for this, but the primary one seems
to be the fact that as land and construction costs keep escalating
people are less willing to construct a home that has been built on
several occasions previously.
We recognize that there is still a number of people who would
prefer to follow the stock plan route and therefore will continue to
attempt to service these people. It is not possible to add all of our
plans to the web site so for those who like our general design
approach and would prefer to seek out an existing plan we suggest that
you contact us and try to provide us with as much information as
possible regarding your specific requirements:
- approximately how large should your house be.
- how many bedrooms and bathrooms do you require.
- how wide and deep can your home be.
- are there any special requirements that must be incorporated. Such as in-law accommodation, jack and jill bathrooms,
fry kitchens, etc.
- how many garages do you require.
Once we receive this information we will get back to you with a
selection of plans that best suit your requirements.
