What is included in a set of drawings?
All the drawings in the set are done in 1/4" - 1'- 0" scale.

Are garages included in square footage?
No, garages are not included in the overall square footage of the house.
The total square footage shown includes all living space which is finished,
this calculation is taken to the outside of framed walls and any finished
cantilevered floor areas. Decks, verandahs, covered entries are not included.
Are the plans designed with 2x6 exterior walls?
Not all plans have been designed for 2x6 construction, if the plan
you have chosen is 2x4 and you require 2x6, a quote for time and cost would be given.
What are reproducible vellums?
A vellum is a type of transparent paper on which the drawings are printed which allows
the purchaser to have the blueprints made as required or have the drawings
copied onto and erasable paper in order to make changes to the drawings.
Please note that any changes made to the drawings after purchase are not
responsibility of Rusbourne Design Ltd.
Does Rusbourne Design Ltd. hold the copyright on the plans?
Yes, all illustrations and plans herein are the exclusive property of
Rusbourne Design Ltd. and reproduction in whole or in part is strictly
prohibited by law. One dwelling may be constructed from each package purchases.
Rusbourne Design Ltd. strives for accurate representation of renderings
and plans and will not be responsible for errors and ommissions.
Do Rusbourne Design Ltd. Home Plans meet my local building code?
The area in which you are building your home may have specific requirements
not specified in the Building Code, such as heavy snow loads, high wind
factors, substandard load bearing soil conditions,..etc.
In such cases the local authorities may require engineering on the drawings,
the cost for which would be the responsibility of the owner/contractor.
